黑料视频 is once again at the forefront of initiatives aimed at increasing gender diversity in the construction sector. Following the success of previous events covering the entire West London region, such as our International Women’s Day jobs and training fairs, Anna Walterskoetter MSc, Deputy Head of Construction and Green Skills, will host a Careers for Women in Construction event on 27 May 2025 at Lambeth Town Hall. Attendees will meet over 25 construction companies and training providers with stalls packed with information and networking opportunities.
In collaboration with industry partners such as Peabody, Countryside Partnerships (part of the Vistry Group), Be Lambeth, The Worshipful Company Of Constructors, and Metropolitan Thames Valley, the event is designed to connect women with live job, apprenticeship, and training opportunities in the construction sector. The event will feature a series of panel discussions, networking sessions, and workshops led by inspiring female professionals who have successfully navigated careers in construction.
Anna Walterskoetter MSc, who managed the independent not-for-profit organisation Women into Construction for nearly 7 years, will host the event. A vocal advocate for gender equality in construction, she will share her extensive experience, aiming to motivate attendees to pursue careers in skilled trades, technical roles, and management positions. The event will also explore the impact of Section 106 agreements and Social Value initiatives, which have been pivotal in creating employment pathways for women in construction.
Anna Koukoullis, a career coach and one of the featured panel members, will lead a discussion on how women can leverage their transferable skills to thrive in the construction industry. She said: “I am thrilled to be part of this event. I look forward to honest, and real discussions on how the industry can support women, and also delve more deeply into a rich discussion on the role of Section 106’s and Social Value.”
Be part of the movement to dismantle traditional barriers, foster inclusivity, and ensure that women have equal opportunities to thrive and contribute to the sector’s growth and innovation. You鈥檒l get inspired by women building thriving careers in construction, hear from on-site apprentices sharing their experience and exchange over lunch with industry professionals about live apprenticeship, job, and training opportunities – the venue is a 2 minute walk from Brixton tube station (Victoria line).
